Conratulations to the Manchester Cross Country Ski Club who have been granted £4,500 from Awards For All to buy roller ski equipment. The equipment will be used to support their roller ski development programme The award was made on 31st August 2006 and is in addition to the £400 grant received earlier in the year from the North West Ski federation The club have developed a strong programme designed to introduce people into the exciting sport of Cross Country Skiing and provide an alround fitness activity in the heart of Manchester. The club as many members from the surrounding area and the excellent programme is currently lead by Snowsport England Club Coach Ros Brown-Grant.

Awards For All is a joint Lottery grants scheme aimed at local communities. Arts Council England, Big LotteryFund, Heritage Lottery Fund and Sport England contribute to fund projects promoting education, the environment and health in the local communiity.
