Sarah Lambden

I would like to be a athlete representative, so I can bring the views of the racers to the committee to try and get more people to participate in the races. I feel I have learnt many different skills whilst participating and therefore would like to help other people learn and develop these skills. As well as this I am keen to promote skiing as a sport and encourage new and former racers to participate in races around the country. I have been racing several years now and feel I am approachable for all aged racers whether they are experienced or novices to communicate with if they have any issues or queries they would like raised.

Charlotte Gould

I would like to apply for the position of Athlete Representative as I believe I can give honest realistic views of what skiers want and how we can encourage support of all aspects of ski racing.  I currently ski competitively on all surfaces, artificial (plastic), indoor and snow. This puts me in an ideal position where I can provide feedback offering a balanced opinion and represent racers from all surfaces rather than being limited or bias in any way. I am very passionate about my sport, I want to encourage more children into ski racing not only because it’s a fabulous sport, but because it helps young people gain so much more, life experiences, social skills, communication skills, self-confidence and a real sense of achievement.

What can I bring to the role?

I have good communication skills, I’d like to think that I’m a good role model for less experienced racers, I listen to and respect the opinions of others, I’m passionate and want to encourage the sport develop whilst considering the needs and concerns of the racers. I’m open, honest and would do what’s right not only for racers but for the sport as a whole.

Stuart Riches

I have been involved in ski racing as an athlete for the last 12 years, and as a coach for the last 4 years. I have experience of both dry and indoor slopes as well as alpine environments. I would love to be an athlete representative for SSE as a feel that I can communicate well with the other athletes to find out any current or ongoing issues that they may have.

I am very passionate about ski racing and I feel that I would be able to accurately represent the views and issues of the athletes at any necessary meetings in an efficient and constructive manner. My experience as an athlete and coach and my time at university have given me excellent communication skills.

Paul Telling

I feel that with a combination of experience as both a high level athlete and a coach who has been involved in running events and competitions, I bring an unrivalled level of knowledge in both the needs of athletes and the realistically achievable improvements that could be made. With a full time commitment to the development of ski racing within the UK scene, from grass roots through to National Team level, and excellent communication skills both via email, website and directly with athletes, my availability to bridge areas of discussion between athletes and ASC members is non restricted.
