British Competition Rules Update
20th November 2006

Latest Editions of Alpine Rulebooks

The latest editions of the Competition rules as approved at the British TD Forum on November 5th 2006 have today been published, and are available for download from our Download area and from GBSki.com.

This includes the 2006 edition of BCR for snow competitions (to apply from the start of the 2006/07 snow season), and the 2007 edition of BACR for artificial slope competitions (for the 2007 season). To help you see what has changed since the previous edition, 'Precisions' documents are also available.

Helmets mandatory

As well as the various changes made to the British rules in this update, coaches and competitors should take note of the change in the FIS regulations (ICR) that make crash helmets conforming to recognised standards mandatory for all disciplines and all age groups.

This will apply to all FIS/British calendar races, on snow from the start of the 2006/07 winter season, and on artificial slopes from the start of 2007.
