BRITISH SKI TEAM ANNOUNCED FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
The British Ski team has been announced for the FIS Alpine, World Ski Championships. The 30th edition of this event is to be held in Val D’Isére from 2nd February to 15th February.
The team is seven members strong and will include Chemmy Alcott, Alain Baxter, Noel Baxter, Andy Noble, Ed Drake, Dougie Crawford and David Ryding. The latter four are making their first appearance at the Championships.
Mark Simmers, Snowsport GB CEO, commented, “The British Alpine Ski Team for the FIS World Ski Championships 2009 has a great blend of youth and experience. This will be the first appearance at the Championships for four of the seven British Team athletes and will give them excellent experience in the lead up to Vancouver 2010”.
“We are confident that all seven athletes will give their best performances during the Championships”.
