Can Your Club Save Money By Becoming A CASC? 27th November 2006 The CCPR has launched a new website, www.cascinfo.co.uk, a website dedicated to the promotion of the Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) scheme. cascinfo.co.uk is designed to provide NGBs and clubs with up-to-date, accessible information about the CASC scheme and to help more clubs register as CASCs and reap the significant financial benefits.
The CASC scheme now has over 4,000 registered clubs and has saved grassroots sports more than £15m since its inception. However, there remain approximately 36,000 eligible but unregistered clubs, at an estimated loss to sport of £60 million per year. To qualify, many clubs would simply need to change their constitution so that it actually reflects what the club already practices.
