In a an immensely strong and the highest level final in the Women's event, Em Lonsdale (23) took 9th place.
Em, Britains top Halfpipe skier went into the competition with one tactic, to ski her heart out, which paid dividends as she jumped ahead of X Games regulars and almost certainly booked herself a spot in next years competition as well as going down in history as the first british Skier to Qualify for Halfpipe skiings equivalent of the Olympics.
Her run of grabs and spins was put down with consistency and style and would have taken 5th place in 2007's X Games competition, a mark of how the standards in the women's event is surging ahead.
Em is superstoked, intending to have some fun at the post competition celebrations before the hard work of training starts in preparation for the US Open at Copper Mountain on Sunday 3rd Feb.
Em who started her skiing career at Kendal ski centre is now based in Mammoth in the USA over the winter months. Entry to ESPNS X Games is strictly by invitation and includes the best riders in their featured disciplines.
