European Championships.

The 2008 European Championships, due to be held in Sunderland over the weekend of 30th/31st August, have been cancelled.

SSE has been unable to find sufficient experienced volunteer officials to run the race securely and successfully. The lack of trained and experienced volunteers is becoming an increasing problem within SSE and the same individuals are seen at races throughout the country.

If ski racing in its current format is to continue, it is vital that new volunteers come forward. To help such volunteers there are two courses available; a level one course for those starting out and a level two course for those wishing to take on more advanced duties.
