Major triumphs again in Alpine Combined and rising talent on show in Minis Combi

On day four of the English Alpine Ski Championships, racers experienced another day of great racing conditions for the FIS Alpine Combined on the Stelvio piste, and for the Under 12s and Under 10s Combi race on the Stella Alpina piste.

Major and Mead impress in English Alpine Championships Super G, Giant Slalom for the Under 16s & 14s, and Glasgow Ski Racing win the Parallel Slalom

Day three of the English Alpine Ski Championships saw the U16 and U14 racers tackle the Giant Slalom on the Stella Alpina race piste, with the older athletes taking on the FIS Super G on the Stelvio piste.

The day was rounded off by an exciting Night Parallel Slalom, where Glasgow Ski Racing came out as champions ahead of Ambition Racing A under the floodlights.

 

Sunny Skies on Day Two of English Alpine Championships in Bormio

Day two of the English Alpine Ski Championships in Bormio was blessed once again with clear blue skis and good snow conditions, as the junior racers tackled a FIS Slalom while the Under 16s and Under 14s raced two runs of Slalom.

James 'Woodsy' Woods claims World Cup Slopestyle podium in Quebec

GB Park and Pipe skier James 'Woodsy' Woods has taken second in the World Cup Ski Slopestyle in Quebec, Canada today.

This follows his X Games Big Air gold medal, which he won at the end of January. 

 

Woods (25) said after his podium finish: "I kept it pretty mellow as I wanted to do a run I knew I could land. I'm here to collect points but it's so good to know this type of run is still at the top!"

 

Action kicks off at English Alpine Championships 2017 in Bormio

The English Alpine Ski Championships kicked off in style under sunny skies in Bormio today, with some impressive skiing in the FIS National Junior Slalom and Under 12 & Under 10 Giant Slalom.

English Alpine Championships 2017 start this weekend in Bormio

The 21st English Alpine Championships start tomorrow in Bormio, celebrating their 10th year in the Italian resort and featuring 400 of the country’s most talented skiers ranging from under 10s to senior athletes. 

The English Alpine Championships kick off tomorrow with the Opening Parade in the centre of Bormio. As well as a busy week of daytime racing, the Team Parallel Slalom returns on the Tuesday night under the floodlights, after three hugely successful years.
