GO SKI GO BOARD

People aged 14+ are invited to register an interest in joining one of the 6 week programmes aimed at:

(BEGINNERS) Always wanted to Ski or Snowboard? Well, now is your chance! A perfect starting point to get a feel for the slope. You’ll be in safe hands with friendly, fully qualified instructors, who will help you build a solid foundation of fundamental skills through beginner lessons. 

(IMPROVERS) is for those of you already confident on the main slope.  If you can already ski or snowboard, then we have something for you too! Our Development sessions are ideal to help develop your technique and style. 

(RECREATIONAL)  Just want to Ski or Snowboard with a group of like-minded people? It’s simple, just six weeks of recreational Skiing or Boarding sessions. 

A barrier to skiing and snowboarding is often cost. This programme is an all-inclusive price with the price you see being the price you pay – no extra for equipment, clothing, lift pass or instruction.

These will be supported by clubs based at the slopes. The aim will be for people after the 6 weeks to join the club if there is one, offer support to develop a club where there isn’t and assist into regular, sustained participation. It is planned they will be at affordable prices and linked to a Sportivate programme where appropriate.

There are promotional resources such as postcards/posters/adverts (samples in pack) designed. The programme will help increase awareness for the opportunities to ski and board in England and also be the driver to move from occasional participant to once per week, gaining support for delivering more widely.

We will let you know via our newsletter sent directly to you about upcoming programmes near to you. Programmes are generally for those aged 14+. If you are interested and Under 14 years of age, we'll pass your details to your local slope/club.

Programmes will be coordinated by Volunteer Snowsport Sport Maker who will be there to make sure you have fun, meet new friends and get fit!
