This year we will be hosting our annual Level 2 Course at the Sheraton Hotel in Blackpool. We are happy to announce that we have negotiated a great deal with the venue.

This course is aimed at currently active officials who are either due a refresher or would like to progress to more senior roles, or to Race Trainers and/or Coaches who want to keep up to date with the current rules and procedures.

The course will cover such topics as

The roles and responsibilities of the Start and Finish referee, and Chief Gatejudge

The roles and responsibilities of the Jury

Jury simulation

Questions and discussion of real life race situations

The cost of the course will be £85 per person for SSE registered officials and £105 per person for anyone else wishing to attend. This includes Accommodation on Saturday night, in a single room, plus Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday full English breakfast and lunch, and also teas/coffees during the course. For those prepared to share rooms a discount of £20 per person will apply.

Please remind your Clubs/Regions that all races can not be run successfully without dedicated volunteer officials so please persuade your clubs and regions to sponsor you, so that we get a great turnout and a chance to meet and learn together in a superb setting.
