Snowsport England Launches Online Child Protection Policy Training System 18th December 2006 As part of Snowsport England's commitment to Child Safeguarding and Welfare, an online training system has been designed to familiarise members with the Child Protection Policy and its application.
The system is not designed to replace the Time to Listen training or the Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop, it is designed to work in conjunction with these courses and act as a support mechanism for members, helping them become familiar with the policy. If you are a coach, instructor, club, member, parent or any other individual working with children in Snowsports you should complete the training to raise your awareness of Child Safeguarding and Welfare.
The system has been developed by the Child Protection Management Group (CPMG). The CPMG are voluntary members of Snowsport England plus the Lead Officers from Snowsport GB and Snowsport Wales, the group has developed the Child Safeguarding and Welfare Policies and Practices over the last 24 months.
You can access the training system on https://www.freestyleweb.co.uk/ssechildprotection/index.asp
Snowsport England would like to thank all those who have been involved in developing the system.
