Sports Aid Boost For Birmingham Athlete
15th November 2006

England Alpine Team Member Benn Hall has been selected to receive a SportsAid grant of £1000.00 sponsored by City law firm Eversheds. Eversheds launched a long term package to support some of the nation's brightest young sports talent. In conjunction with SportsAid, the firm has committed to support twelve athletes across the UK to help them progress over the next three years and Benn is very honoured to be one of the 12 selected.

The firm's funding is being provided through SportsAid, the charity for sports people, which has helped the careers of British athletes for 30 years. Benn is very proud to be following in the footsteps of their alumni who include Sir Steve Redgrave, Dame Kelly Holmes, Lord Coe and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson.

Benn said “I am extremely grateful to receive this award and would like to thank Eversheds LLP & SportsAid, this grant will help me tremendously over the coming season”.

The grant follows another prestigious award made to Benn this year, he was awarded the Tim Reader Memorial Trophy 2006 at the All England Championships at Hemel as the most improved Junior Boy Jnr 1 & 2, supported with a bursary from the English Ski Council Skiers Trust.
