The Sports Club of the Year (SCOTY) awards are run annually by CCPR in association with the Foundation for Sports and the Arts. Now in their 15th year, the SCOTY awards seek to reward and recognise the important role played by grassroots sports clubs within the UK.
For the 2008 awards, a total of £15,000 will be distributed amongst six SCOTY winners at a gala dinner held the evening before CCPR’s annual conference on 7 May 2008.
First Place - £6,000
Two x Second place - £3,000 each
Three x Third Place - £1,000 each
National governing bodies (NGBs) of sport and recreation in membership of CCPR are encouraged to endorse applications from up to three clubs to be considered for the awards.
All applications must have the endorsement of an eligible NGB.
The closing date for receipt of SCOTY 2008 applications is 29 February 2008.
