Chemmy Alcott (275 x 184)Every year there are 2,000 international level competitions, with over 10,000 registered competitors worldwide. The British Team competes on the World Cup and European Cup circuit . 

  

In the UK there are national and regional level competitions, on snow and artificial slopes. There are many competitions for those aged eight and above. For more information about the Snowsport England rules, please look at www.gbski.com/rules.php

 
Where to start?

 

  1. Join a Club

  2. Register as a ski racer with your Home Nation

  3. Enter a Race! It's as easy as that!


What do I need to ask? 

 

  1. What is the minimum standard required? (Most clubs will accept new participants to develop with them)

  2. Do you enjoy it ? You will be involved for some time to come!

  3. Do you have the opportunity to practice?

  4. Does the club have Snowmark? This is a sign the club has got Snowsport England policies and procedures in place.


Make sure of your insurance cover, if you are racing you should aim to have;

 

  1. Personal Liability and Accident

  2. Travel Insurance -  (can be purchased through Snowsport England)
