The annual Technical Delegate and Race Officials’ Update will be held over the weekend of November 14th – 15th. Due to the ongoing pandemic and associated travel and gathering restrictions the updates this year will be held online. All Race Officials and Coaches are welcome to attend the Update Seminar on Saturday 14th November. This seminar will be conducted in English.

This is the only real opportunity in the year to join a race rules and organisational update with all interested parties involved and expert advice on hand. This provides a change to exchange experiences, discuss topics and cooperatively contribute to the development of the sport. It is vital to keep abreast of safety regulations and new rules, and to ensure (for the sake of the athletes as well as ourselves) that we are all following the same rules, regulations and procedures regardless of the level of event.

The Update Seminar is open to representatives from all countries in the Lowlander group. The programme will follow that supplied by FIS but with an emphasis on the items pertinent to our officials and the events we run. Those organising calendar events are encouraged to attend, and coaches are also very welcome especially those who wish to qualify as Referees. Technical Delegates must attend the Update Seminar as part of the on-going validation of their TD licence.

The Update will incorporate a centralised briefing (webinar) followed by break out sub-groups to work through the normal questions and timing calculations. Full schedule details will follow.
