The second Snowsport England Nordic Development Day in collaboration with GB Snowsport and BNDS took place on Sunday 5th December at Redbridge Cycling Centre.

A total of 9 athletes attended the second session on Sunday. The day started with skate technique work, focusing on skate 2, with and without poles. At lunch time, all of the athletes took part in a fun 3.5km skate time trial and had the chance to put what they learned from the morning session into practice. After all well earned lunch, the attention turned to classic. There was a focus ond ouble poling and strength. The day finished off with speed work with team games, a great way to end another successful day.

The sessions are planned to continue on a monthly basis in 2022 and we look forward to welcoming the athletes along in the new year.

The sessions are the first step in helping develop, alongisde the existing infastructure, the pathway for Nordic skiers in England and we thank our partners for their support in organising and developing these sessions.

A huge thank you to Jordan Andrews for the organisation and coaching and well done to all of the athletes for their efforts during the session.
