We are looking for a number of volunteers to join Snowsport England’s newly restructured committees and contribute to our ambition to grow and develop our sport with the help of its passionate and enthusiastic network.
The new structure of our committees will enable them to better support and implement our vision to “Inspire participation in Snowsport at every level”.
The restructure will break down existing committees into more working groups, which will address specific projects and many different volunteer roles will be available, all of which require a blend of Snowsport skills and knowledge.
The new committee structure will support the Snowsport England vision and mission, launched in 2019, to lead the growth in Snowsport, by providing solid foundations on which our coaches, instructors and leaders can progress, and support our athletes to realise their full potential in a safe and happy environment.
If you are interested in getting involved, please look out for vacancy announcements on our Facebook and Twitter pages over the next month.

Why we are changing our committee structure
In 2019 Snowsport England launched a new Vision and Mission, to reflect that as the National Governing Body for Snowsport, we exist to lead the growth in Snowsport, by providing solid foundations on which our coaches, instructors and leaders can progress, and support our athletes to realise their full potential in a safe and happy environment.
Our Vision – ‘To Inspire Participation in Snowsport at Every Level’
Now in 2020 we are re-aligning our committees to enable them to better support and carry out this vision. Our aim is to have a clear and more open process for all committees to operate and clearly show our membership how volunteers can get involved in our sport.
We want to improve communication between committees which will also translate into better and more open communication with our whole membership. There will be more working groups established to address specific projects to enable us to be more agile and transparent.
We have all experienced some incredibly challenging and constantly changing circumstances during 2020. As a result, we need to recruit and develop a volunteer workforce who can work with us and support us as we navigate through the current pandemic and into the future, whatever that may bring.
Why we want you to get involved
Being part of a Snowsport England committee gives you the opportunity to become directly involved with the development of Snowsport. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our sport and we could not operate without them, but we need more people to get involved.
Volunteering is an extremely rewarding experience, and it can be a great way to develop your skills and knowledge while giving something back to the Snowsport community. We want to build a more representative and diverse volunteer workforce to reflect our passionate membership.
It could be you we are looking for
There are many different volunteer roles available, all of which require a blend of Snowsport skills and knowledge. We are looking for people who are passionate about Snowsport, and can commit their time, energy, and enthusiasm to developing and supporting the sport we all love. We want to attract people from all backgrounds who reflect the values of Snowsport England.
