“Creating Environments for Success”

Like many events over the last 18 months, we are announcing that due to COVID safety measures we have been forced to change the location and format of this year’s UK Snowsports Coaching Conference. The good news is that the event is still going ahead, albeit with a slightly altered format and change of location.

The conference will now take place on 18th & 19th September at The Chill Factore in Manchester, instead of the previously announced location of Snozone, Yorkshire. We have worked very hard to ensure that the event can still go ahead. While a change of this kind is never ideal, we hope you will understand.

Accommodation is not provided, but we are recommending that anyone wanting to stay overnight stays at the Manchester Trafford Centre West Premier Inn, Old Park Lane, Manchester, M17 8PG. External caterers will be used for buffet lunches, but unfortunately there will be no awards dinner on Saturday evening, but we will be hosting a small drinks reception instead.

Coaching achievements will be celebrated, and awards will still be announced, but a formal awards dinner is sadly not possible this year. After a year away due to the pandemic, we are looking forward to welcoming coaches and instructors back to the biggest coaching event in the Snowsport calendar.

The headline topic of the conference is “Creating Environments for Success”, and the two-day event will look at how to build a positive learning environment for people to thrive in, whether they are taking their first steps on their Snowsport journey, or are competing at the highest level.

The conference is aimed at all levels of instructors and coaches in all disciplines and can be used to refresh current Snowsport England qualifications.

The weekend-long event is a mixture of interactive classroom sessions (taking place on Saturday, 18th September) and on-slope practical workshops (taking place on Sunday, 19th September) to help coaches and instructors put what they learn into practice.

Tickets are available for individual days or for the full conference, an early bird price is available for bookings made before 20th August. The early bird rate is £159 for the full conference pass, instead of the regular price of £179. Tickets are limited and we advise to secure your space early.
