Our development pathway develops a career within recreational skiing using the Instructor Development (UKSS) courses. These operate within clubs and ski centres and work with complete beginners through to expert and beyond.
Each level in the pathway requires candidates to complete a training course, workplace training and a final examination – therefore allowing you to develop as a coach or instructor at your own pace.
Level 1 – Work with novice participants on artificial slopes
Level 2 – Work with advanced participants on artificial slopes.
Level 3 – Work with a skiers on a long term basis at a local ski centre, planning and modifying a programme rather than just delivering individual lessons.
Level 4 – Work with club participants in an alpine environment, preparing candidates as course tutors, developing the next generation of skiers and coaches.
