Volunteering is an extremely rewarding experience, and it can be a great way to develop your skills and knowledge while giving something back to the Snowsport community.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our sport and we could not operate without them, but we need more people to get involved.

We want to build a more representative and diverse volunteer workforce to reflect our passionate membership – read on to discover what opportunities are available.

Committees & Action Groups

We are always looking for volunteers to help support the committees and groups we run. Being part of a Snowsport England committee gives you the opportunity to become directly involved with the development of Snowsport.

Regions & Clubs

Your local clubs and regions would not be able to operate without their valuable volunteers, so please get in touch with them to discover how you could help out.

Events & Competitions

We also need volunteers who are trained as Alpine Officials to help run events and competitions, without them, they would not take place. To find out how to become an Alpine Official click the link below (there’s no need to fill in an application form for this role).

Volunteering Opportunities

Talent Management Group – General members

The Talent Management Group (TMG) is a new standing advisory group that is being created by Snowsport England to advise and guide discipline committees on their strategic direction in relation to talent pathway activity. A background in Snowsport is not essential to this role but a passion for sport and an understanding of the principles behind athlete development within a talent pathway is vital to this role. Deadline for applications is 28th February, 2021

Nordic Committee Secretary

The Secretary on our Nordic Committee is a crucial role which enables it to function efficiently and effectively. We are looking for people who are passionate about Snowsport, and can commit their time, energy, and enthusiasm to developing and supporting the sport we all love. We want to attract people from all backgrounds who reflect the values of Snowsport England. Deadline for applications is 15th January 2021

Train to Become an Alpine Official

Become an Alpine Official and get involved in the busy summer race calendar in the UK or head to Bormio, Italy, and volunteer at the English Alpine Championships. You can even take your volunteering to the next level and train to officiate at some of the biggest international competitions.
