Snowsport England create clear pathways to develop young Snowsport enthusiasts into potential athletes. 

We currently manage several squads which develop athletes to compete in British Teams internationally and at Olympic events. Below are the current squads:

Alpine

Snowsport England select talented athletes to join the England Alpine Squad each year. The squad is designed to provide additional support to athletes who are currently training within a club or academy environment. For more information please contact alpinesquad@snowsportengland.org.uk

Park & Pipe

The England Park & Pipe Academy supports and develops young skiers and snowboarders in freeski and freestyle snowboarding. Selected athletes are invited to training taking place on slopes in the UK and abroad. For more information please contact info@snowsportengland.org.uk

Cross-Country

The pathway programmes are designed to give young athletes the chance to progress to the highest levels in Cross-Country Skiing.

Telemark

SSE Telemark Coaches are always on the lookout for talented Telemarkers and they are ready to guide you in the right direction.  Several Alpine racers have made the switch to Telemark or they ski Telemark as a complementary second discipline.

Roller Skiing

Roller Skiing was originally developed as a way for Cross-Country skiers to train during the summer.  It’s now considered a sport in its own right, with races held internationally and in the UK.

Moguls

The Snowsport England Moguls Academy encourages participation in moguls skiing in the UK. The Academy creates opportunities and supports the athletes in training and in competitions from the very early stages of competitive moguls skiing all the way up to Europa Cup Level.
